The Meaning of True Custom

Not a Finish Package.
A Way of Building.

From the Smallest Detail to the Whole Home.

Most builders coordinate the work. We stay close enough to improve it.

Our constant presence on site lets us solve problems before they become compromises. Even a baseboard is not simply installed—it is studied, fitted, and refined until every line and transition feels inevitable.

A Family Tradition

30-Plus Years
of Craft.
One Vision for
the Whole Home.

Our roots reach back to Redwood Lumber Company, the family business founded by John Grisanti in the St. Lawrence Valley of upstate New York. Growing up around the trade shaped the way we work. More than 20 years ago, three brothers brought that tradition south, building businesses whose craftsmanship became part of some of the Lowcountry’s finest homes.

Redwoodworks Residential carries that woodworking tradition forward. Millsite Custom Homes grew from the same foundation, giving us the opportunity to guide the entire build with one standard of care, from the earliest construction decisions to the final crafted detail.

Rooted Here

Built with a Woodworker’s Eye.
Led with a Builder’s Care.

Our woodworking roots shape how we see proportion, fit, and finish. At Millsite, that same judgment reaches the whole project. Our building and woodworking teams work with homeowners, architects, and trades from the first plan through the final fitting.

We stay present on site and take responsibility for decisions behind the walls as carefully as the details you see. The result is a home considered as a whole and made for the people who live there.

A Lowcountry Signature

Rooted by the Water.
Built for the Life Around It.

The live oaks, tidal water, birds overhead, and working figure at the river’s edge are more than scenery. They represent the place We know, the life Our clients come here to enjoy, and the hands-on way We build within it.
